The region consists of Okayama, Hiroshima, Tottori, Shimane and Yamaguchi prefectures. Its tranquil seaside towns, breathtaking mountain peaks of Mt. Daisen and the floating shrine of Hiroshima are just some of these things, for those looking to live here.

Oysters are a delicacy in Hiroshima prefecture as it is cultivated here.
Rent in Chugoku depends on the prefecture and area you choose to live in, as well as your apartment size. For example, the cost of living for one person in Tottori is ¥146,000, while in Hiroshima it is significantly higher at ¥178,000.
