Consisting of the four prefectures of Kagawa, Tokushima, Ehime, and Kochi, Shikoku make up the fourth-largest island in Japan. With lower costs of living as one of its biggest perks, it’s no wonder many relocate to the various prefectures in Shikoku for a more fulfilling lifestyle and less stress on their finances.
Once you’ve secured a job in Shikoku, the next thing you’ll have to do is find a rental apartment that’s ideal to your liking. Some of the most pleasant accommodations in Shikoku can also come at cheap and affordable rates, so it is important to not rush through the process. After all, this will be your new home for the next couple of years, so you’ll want to weigh your options carefully before you rent. A reliable contractor like Village House can ensure you’re getting what you expect from the apartment of your dreams.
Starting from around ¥22,000, you can browse through foreigner-friendly accommodations that can meet your home living needs. In Kagawa prefecture, for example, you have a wide selection of rental apartments to choose from. At a glance, you can explore Village House Nomada, Village House Shirotori, Village House Kunita, Village House Toyohama, Village House Honmura and many more. Additionally, our Village House apartments can come fully furnished with your choice of add-ons. Depending on what you need, you can let our team know if you will need an air conditioner, gas stove, toilet washlet and/or kitchen water heater.
When choosing an apartment to rent and live in, a general rule of thumb is to look at its location. Cheap accommodations are a good thing, but you’ll want to prioritize how close it is to your work or school. Is parking available if you have a vehicle? Will it take long to get to the nearest train station? With all these verified in advance, you can have peace of mind that you’ll love living in your new home in the long run.
One of our cheap Shikoku apartments for rent, Village House Takuma, for example, is in close proximity to Takuma Station, Tsushima Omiya Station, and Mino Station. The nearest public office, hospital, and bank is also within walkable distance from this apartment. With an entire list of apartments available for rent, you’re sure to save big while renting at cheap upfront costs - from Village House Oouchi and Village House Shido in Kagawa to Village House Matsuyama Ueno and Village House Oomachi 2 in Ehime!
